The main benefit of this Testing Methodology is its simplistic and systematic approach. In this method we follow top down approach for software testing process.

 

The basic steps involved in this software testing methodology are:

1. a: Test Strategy Planning:

This is the entry phase for the project. In this phase, testing team study product requirements and come up with a doubt list. These doubts are clarified from end client and are logged in our internal defect tracking tool. The deliverable for this phase is a Software Test Strategy Plan.

1. b: Verification:

In Verification phase we perform detailed review of software requirements, design and architecture. We create a repository of the findings in a knowledge base for future references.

1. c: Test Planning:

Test Planning starts with Test Bed Setup as per software requirements, creation of software test plan, test cases and test data. We use our own developed best practices and templates to generate software test cases and test data. Created test cases and test data is further reviewed & base-lined by test managers before being actually executed.

Baseline Test Cases are used as entry point for Test Execution phase. Test execution includes Component Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing and System Testing. Defects are logged in defect tracking
